Specializing in fresh, raw fish dishes, Fishiaria is well situated right in the middle of the renowned Catania fish market. Just far enough from the fishmonger area to be out of the fishy smell, it's nestled on a street lined with fruit and vegetable sellers.
Tartare, ceviche, a barely seared fish "burger" are what's in offer. I had a ceviche drowning in coconut and olive oil, with almonds and fresh avocado. A wonderful way to go. ;)
They miss the mark a bit with certain things, plastic cutlery but a heavy wineglass, coffee served in those tiny disposable cups you find at coffee vending machines, ceviche served in a margarita glass (wtf?). But service was attentive.
